Betting Not On Gamstop is an independent research site for adults in Great Britain who want to understand betting sites that are not on GamStop before they sign up to one. This page explains what we publish, how we assess bookmakers, how we are funded and where our limits lie.

What we do and who we write for

We publish reviews and guides on sports betting sites outside the GamStop scheme. They cover bonuses, wagering requirements, payment methods, withdrawals, sports markets and mobile betting. Our readers are adults aged 18 and over, mainly in the UK. Some know a lot about betting, and some are new to it. We explain terms such as wagering requirements, minimum qualifying odds and source-of-funds checks in plain English and without talking down to you.

We are not a bookmaker and we do not take bets. We also do not present gambling as a way to earn money or fix money problems. It is paid entertainment, and you can lose what you stake.

How we are funded

Commercial disclosure: we may earn a commission if you register with a bookmaker through a link on this site. That money pays for the site. Commission does not decide rankings, and an operator cannot buy a higher position or a better rating. Our editorial ratings are our own assessments. They are not customer-review scores.

How we assess bookmakers

Our assessments are desk research. We review operator websites, published terms and conditions, licence information the operator displays, and payment and bonus pages. We do not claim to have deposited, bet or withdrawn money ourselves. Where we rely on what a bookmaker advertises, we say so. We check facts against the operator's own published terms and note the date we checked. Our latest fact-check date is 1 October 2026.

We look at:

  • Licensing and regulation – which regulator the operator says it holds a licence from, and whether it is authorised by the UK Gambling Commission. Accepting British customers is not the same as being authorised to serve them.
  • Bonus terms – wagering requirements, minimum qualifying odds, maximum bonus bets, expiry dates and cashout limits sit beside the headline offer, because the headline figure alone says little.
  • Payments – whether GBP accounts are offered, which methods apply to British customers, any fees or currency conversion, and stated withdrawal limits and processing times.
  • Markets and features – football, horse racing, tennis, darts, snooker, esports and more, plus bet builders, live in-play betting and early cash-out.
  • Verification and complaints – KYC and identity checks, source-of-funds requests, support options and complaints procedures.
  • Player protection tools – deposit and loss limits, self-exclusion and links to support.

Understanding GamStop and the wider picture

GamStop is the free national self-exclusion scheme for licensed gambling operators in Great Britain. Sites licensed by the UK Gambling Commission must take part in it. Sites outside it usually hold overseas gambling licences, so UK protections such as GamStop and the Commission's complaint routes may not apply in the same way. Some of these sites also advertise offers in euros or dollars, which can mean currency conversion costs.

If you have self-excluded, please think carefully before using a site outside the scheme. It exists to protect you. Our responsible gambling page covers limits, blocking software and support from GamCare. We list the key details there so you can find them when you need them.

What you will find on the site

  • Bookmaker reviews and ranked top lists, including operators such as Tenobet, Trixino and Betninja. Each is shown with its advertised offer and its conditions.
  • Guides to odds (we use fractional odds, for example 5/1, in examples), bet types, bonuses and payments.
  • Information on adjacent products. Many of these operators also run casinos, and our non GamStop casinos page covers those separately.

What we cannot promise

  • We cannot say any betting site is completely safe, or guarantee that withdrawals will be paid or that you will win.
  • Offers and terms change. Always read the operator's current terms before depositing. Ours are on our terms and conditions page.
  • Some questions stay unresolved, such as how an operator handles disputes in practice. Where that is so, we say it is unconfirmed.
